On Sunday we were incredibly privileged to have Marjan Beer share with us as a part of our series on JESUS ENCOUNTERS. Marjan is such a wonderful member of our community who has recently been running our Women's Retreats as well as our weekly group Bible Studies. In her message she shared about how she reignited her relationship with Jesus through 2 things:

1. Imagination. Placing yourself in the bible, read the gospels like a novel.

2. Community. Jesus is represented all around us, and how do we represent him to others?

This week we had Special Guest Rev. Dr. Graham Hill sharing on Jonah. As he takes us through the story of Jonah he shares what we can learn about discipleship and more importantly what we can learn about God. He is waiting for us, in the darkest times call out and he will answer.

Hey, welcome to our Goodlife podcast, we're so glad your here. This week Mike introduces our new series call Jesus Encounters. He focuses on two stories in Luke 18 and 19, the blind man and Zacchaeus, both men were outcasts who encountered the grace of Jesus. Mike brings together three points for our reflection:

 

1. Jesus hears the cried of the oppressed.

2. Jesus sees the oppressor with eyes of grace.

3. The crowd becomes the oppressor in both encounters

Welcome! This week we have a special guest speaker: Jess LeClerc. Jess is an artist and the principal and founder of Art School Co. here on the Sunshine Coast. She is a wife, mother of 4 amazing teens and a much loved part of our Goodlife Community.

 

Given that we are all made in the image of our creator God, Jess calls us to a more creative way of living by sharing:

• The many ways we are all creative
• How we can increase our creativity
• What is the creativity we need to fullfil Jesus' instruction to love god, and love others as you love yourself (Matthew 22: 35-37).
