This week Julie explains how Matthew highlights Jesus teaching of scripture as something that goes deeper and requires a change of heart, to not just obey the letter of the law, but the heart and purpose behind the law. She challenges us to consider are we obeying the heart behind Jesus' teachings and allowing it to change us and shape how we live.

Our new series begins today, following on from the King's Kingdom series, we return to the book of Matthew to investigate what kind of King Jesus is. Joren begins by recognising that Jesus always gives us a choice, he doesn't demand obedience he invites us to follow in his ways. We look at Matthew 7 : 13-20 where Jesus describes two different roads we can take in life, the wide and broad path or the narrow path and challenges us to consider which road are we on?

Nic, gave a thoughtful and timely encouragement to shift how we reflect on our letdowns in life.

Sometimes letdowns are because of our sin. Sometimes letdowns are because God is doing something in us. Even when it seems like it conflicts God is using it!

He lead us through Nehemiah 13 asking ourselves "where is our sufficiency and security?" and being honest with our answers. We all can feel letdown, but it's what we do with feeling that matters. “The story isn’t over if the story isn’t good!” - ‘The Father’s House’, Bethel Music

Our guest speaker, Brendan Edwards from The Send, challenged us this week with an important question: What is an appropriate response to God’s faithfulness?

The Bible shows us that God is faithful. But Brendan encouraged us to consider what a response to God’s faithfulness sounds like (confession), thinks like (repentance), and looks like (prayer).

He challenged us to reflect on what might be getting in the way of our response to God.

Comfort? Convenience? Apathy? Fear? Individualism? Busyness? Materialism?

What might God be asking you to surrender so you can respond more fully to His faithfulness?

Lotty brings us a challenge, when I know God's plan, I can know God's plan for me. In this message he shows from scripture how God's plan is that we his people bring an experience of heaven to earth, we are to be salt and light. What God is looking for is a heart willing to be moved and hands that are willing to be used. He gives us two key patterns in scripture

This week V looks at Nehemiah chapter 8. The people have left homes, friends, family to return to Jerusalem. They have re-built the temple, re-built the wall… but why… who is it all for?

V explains the different names for God in old testament scripture, how they reveal part of God's character. She asks each of us to consider what is our big why? The core belief that drives our actions?

Julie begins this week by reminding us the theme of the last few weeks is asking God "Is there something you want us to do and how do we get ready for it?".

Julie looks at Nehemiah 6:1-9 and reflects that he had the right foundation to sustain him through the challenges he faced. If your wondering if you have the right foundations then ask yourself the following questions:

* Do you have the fear of the Lord? (A correct response to who God is)

* Are you going it alone?

This message comes with the reassurance that we can draw confidence in knowing who our heavenly father is. Ask God to open your eyes to see those who can help. Try not to get overwhelmed by circumstances, trust in the Lord.

As we continue our series through the book of Nehemiah, Stephen picks up where Joren left off last week, exploring God's invitation for each of us to partner with Him in the good works He has prepared for us (Ephesians 2:10).

Whether you're stepping into a new job, ministry, project, or season of life, this message offers practical biblical encouragement for the journey ahead. Drawing from Nehemiah's example, Stephen shares key insights on how to move forward with faith, wisdom, and perseverance.

As we begin our new series, Re-Construction, Joren takes us into the opening chapter of Nehemiah and challenges us to reconsider what true greatness looks like. When faced with the brokenness of the world, it's easy to drift toward either strategy, trying to fix everything ourselves, or apathy, believing nothing can change. Yet Nehemiah shows us a different response. Before making a plan, he turns to God in prayer. Through Nehemiah's example, we discover that rebuilding starts with aligning our hearts to God's heart, allowing what breaks His heart to move us, and being willing to be used by Him wherever we are. What are you building with your life?
