As we continue our series through the book of Nehemiah, Stephen picks up where Joren left off last week, exploring God's invitation for each of us to partner with Him in the good works He has prepared for us (Ephesians 2:10).
Whether you're stepping into a new job, ministry, project, or season of life, this message offers practical biblical encouragement for the journey ahead. Drawing from Nehemiah's example, Stephen shares key insights on how to move forward with faith, wisdom, and perseverance.
The challenge: take up the shovel, representing the work God has called you to do, and the sword, representing prayer and the armour of God. As we faithfully serve and depend on Him, we discover the strength to build what He has called us to build, not in our own ability, but through His power.

As we begin our new series, Re-Construction, Joren takes us into the opening chapter of Nehemiah and challenges us to reconsider what true greatness looks like. When faced with the brokenness of the world, it's easy to drift toward either strategy, trying to fix everything ourselves, or apathy, believing nothing can change. Yet Nehemiah shows us a different response. Before making a plan, he turns to God in prayer. Through Nehemiah's example, we discover that rebuilding starts with aligning our hearts to God's heart, allowing what breaks His heart to move us, and being willing to be used by Him wherever we are. What are you building with your life?
What moves your heart?
And are you willing to let God use you?

The past nine weeks we have been exploring The Path, practical teachings for following in the ways of Jesus. This week as we wrap up the series Nic challenges us on what practical steps we want to take as we walk the path. Eric Liddell, in his book The Disciplines of the Christian Life said “You will know as much of God, and only as much of God, as you are willing to put into practice.”

While evangelism can often feel intimidating or reserved for a select few, Laura reminds us that at its heart, evangelism is simply sharing the good news of what Jesus has done in our lives.

This is our fourth week in the series of The Path, looking at practical application of what it means to follow Jesus and experience the adventure of faith in community. This week V brings us a teaching on Prayer, uncovering how prayer is how we build relationship and connection with God. Prayer is a skill we can build, the practice of consciously entering into His presence.
This week we begin by honoring Shane and Lauren Horton for their 22 years of service at Goodlife. Shane has worked in and been our gym manager and together they lead our Youth group for many years. As Shane finishes up his current role as our Gym Manager we give thanks and honor his many years of dedicated service to our Church and Community Centre.
