This week we are taking a look at the very first message Jesus preached, in Matthew 4:17 "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near". Julie reminds us that the true meaning of repent is to stop doing life your way, and start doing it my way and gives us some insights as to what that could look like.

This week Nic brings us a message that helps us understand that we have authority over satan and power to withstand temptation only when we know where (and Whom) our significance comes from. Nic take us through Matthew 4:1-11 and looks at the three different temptations that Jesus faced
1. Hunger
2. Security
3. Power
We look at how Jesus dealt with those temptations and what can we learn from him.

This week we hear from the lovely Laura Berry, as she shares unpacks the story of John the Baptist and his unique ministry that prepared people's hearts and the one who Jesus called the greatest born of women.
Matthew 3:1-17 : Reading this chapter many questions come to mind:
- Who is John?
- Why is he preaching in the wilderness?
- Why is he wearing camels’ hair and eating locusts?
- How did the people feel when John called out the religious leaders?
- Did everyone hear the voice of God and see the dove when Jesus was baptised?

As we step into 2026, the future feels uncertain. New beginnings often bring anxiety about the unknown, leaving us with a choice: will we respond with faith or fear?
In Matthew 2:13–23, we see the contrast between Joseph’s faithful obedience and Herod’s fearful need for control. Through Matthew’s fulfilment themes, Jesus is revealed as the true Messiah, bringing a New Exodus, ending exile, and coming for the lost. This ancient story invites us to trust God’s character and step into obedience, even when the path ahead is unclear.
As this year begins, ask yourself: What is God asking me to be obedient in during 2026?

This Advent we are journeying through the book of Matthew, his gospel in particular highlights how Jesus is the fulfilment of the old testament prophecies of the Messiah. This week our guest speaker Julie Palin, bring us a deep dive into the story of the three wise men. Who were they, who is the King of the Jews and what can we learn from comparing the response of Herod and the Magi to signs of Jesus' arrival.

This Advent we are journeying through the book of Matthew, his gospel in particular highlights how Jesus is the fulfilment of the old testament prophecies of the Messiah. This week V looks at the story of Mary and Joesph and we find that hope does not always arrive in the way we expect, or look like we think it should. Sometimes the Lord has to train us to see His blessing and favour as it truly is, rather than a worldly perception of blessing and favour.

This week Joren gives us a fantastic introduction as he reflects on the time between the old and new testaments, a season of waiting on God and how we remain in the waiting for the final fulfilment on Jesus' return. Joren asks us, are we waiting well and shares wisdom to secure our anchor of hope in Jesus.
